I caught your performance last Friday at Porky’s. I was in
town to see some friends, play golf and hang out. We all had a great time
listening to you guys do some terrific tunes. I think you guys are great. I
came up and requested “Chain Gang”. It was awesome!

Hi Robyn Fear,
I was so moved by the turnout and generosity this past Saturday night. Those of you who attended know what a beautiful evening it was, with great food from Café Emunah, incredible music from Sunset Bay Band and, best of all, the company of the best friends a guy could ever ask for! I truly feel so blessed to have each of you in my life.
Special thanks to my friends who were not able to attend but found it in their hearts to make extremely generous donations in support of these children. I hope that those of you who were not able to make it this year will have an opportunity to join us next year.
While we all enjoyed each other’s company and had a great time together, we were able to make a difference in so many needy children’s lives!

Sunset Bay, who played at Porky's last Saturday, is quite an energetic band. If you love to dance, this is the band to see.

I say hot, hot, hot, the synergy among them is electric. The dancers kept on coming, and considering season is over, the floor was crowded. Robyn Fear sings and plays a dynamite guitar; her legs never stop moving and she's got a lot of energy. She just makes you want to dance. And if you can't, guaranteed you'll wiggle in your seat.
Sunset Bay was originated by Fear, a guitarist and singer. She also originated the Jezzebelles. Quite the talent, she started playing guitar and writing music as a young girl. In college, she studied classical guitar. But her talent doesn't stop there. She does a lot of studio engineering and sound system work. "Regarding Sunset Bay, I always wanted to play with Maurice Santa Cruz and expand all styles of music," Fear said. "I really love the Jezzebelle Band and female voice harmony, but I like men's voices, too. So Sunset Bay was created with both men and women. The bass guitar player is Santa Cruz, who sings and plays a five-string Honer. In addition, he produces and writes original music. From Spain, Luis Macias has been part of Sunset Bay for more than a year. He attended Florida Atlantic University and traveled throughout the world. He's played drums with the Drifters and the Platters.

When
it comes to a night of great music and dancing, the members of
Jezzebelle are the ones to hear on any Friday night at Porky's Last
Stand.
This group rocks! They not only play great music,
but just watching them perform is a treat. Their music is both soft and
energetic and covers most styles.
They specialize in rock, dance,
Motown, new country, standards, ballads, pop and disco. The synergy
among them is electric. Coming to Marco Island each week from the Fort
Lauderdale area, this is Jezzebelle's - SunseTBayBand's sixth year at
Porky's. From the way things look, they will be there for a long time
to come. The fact that every Friday night brings a full house even
during the off-season attests to that. The group is a combination of
female musicians and Sunset Bay's male musicians.
The band is so popular that "Reserved" signs can be seen on tables for incoming parties. Many of the same customers can be seen each week.
In
addition to their instrumental talents, they are great singers. Their
vocal blend is powerful, with smooth harmonies and an incredibly
exciting stage presence.
Robyn Fear, the founder of
both Jezzebelle and Sunset Bay, plays a dynamic guitar. Her legs never
stop moving with the music and she's certainly one ball of fire. The
group can expand to a 10-piece band with a horn section, percussion and
more singers and they can also trickle way down to duos and trios.
Another nice thing about this group is that they do not use prerecorded
tracks. Their sets are arranged so that the first is a warm-up while
customers are having dinner. "We do try to keep them happy with a cross
of dance stuff and party favorites," Fear said. Some of the music they
play is by Santana, the Pretenders, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles,
Van Morrison, the Doors, Bob Marley, Garth Brooks, the Eagles and
others. Fear has had quite a career. She had private vocal lessons,
music theory and classical guitar in college with some piano and
improvisation. She owns a private recording studio in Fort Lauderdale,
has worked for several production companies, and has mixed live
recordings of Pat Metheny and B.B. King.
